Guns N’ Roses Slot Special – The Boys Are Back!

Given the fact that 2017 sees Guns N’ Roses touring once again with the band’s original line-up for the first time in decades, what better time to check out the slot bearing the same name? Over the years, this iconic rock band has sold in excess of 100 million records all over the world and earned a fan-base too big to even imagine. They swore on several occasions they’d never get back together or even work with each other again, but as it happens, they were wrong…all of them!

As for the slot, this outstanding game is the work of Net Entertainment, rather than the band itself. It’s a standard five-reel setup with 20 paylines, with spins starting out at 20p each and going up to £100 for high-rollers. We tested it across various mobile platforms and desktop alike, finding the general experience to be excellent in all instances.

In terms of features…well, where to start? There are wild substitutions, expanding wilds, the Appetite for Destruction wild, bonus symbols, Encore free spins, Legend Spins, a Solo multiplier and a Crowd-Pleaser feature to boot. And if that wasn’t enough, there are even five original Guns N’ Roses recordings to choose from, to serve as your soundtrack while you get stuck into the action!

Going Wild

The wild symbol takes the form of the Guns N’ Roses logo and can appear on any reel at any time randomly. Wilds are good for replacing any symbols apart from the overlay Stacked Wild in Encore Free Spins feature, the overlay Wild in Legend Spins feature and the Appetite for Destruction Wild feature.

Still with us?

During normal play, there are three features that can be triggered at any time. The first of these is the Legend Spins bonus round, which hands out three free spins with up to two stacked wild reels. With each of the free spins, one or two of the reels becomes stacked wild reels, increasing the prospect of a payout.

Then there is the Appetite for Destruction Wild feature, which sees a cross-shaped overlay to create a series of wilds across the reels. If there are other wilds already present across the reels, the potential for huge payouts is…well, huge!

Last up comes the Solo Multiplier feature, where winning lines are increased with multipliers of between 4X and 10X randomly. You’ll need at least three matching symbols on an active payline to qualify, but the feature doesn’t apply when there are wilds in any of the winning paylines.

Bonus Features

If you’re still out for more action, Guns N’ Roses serves up more than its fair share of additional bonus features to keep things more than a little interesting. If at any time during normal play you manage to line up three Bonus scatter symbols in any position on the first, third and fifth reels, you’ll be whisked away to the Bonus wheel for a spin. Once there, you’ll be randomly sent over to one of three additional bonus rounds, with potentially huge payouts to play for.

First of all there’s the Coin Win feature. This basically means that you’ll be paid an instant cash prize, which could be worth anything from 10X to 30X your wager. Then there’s the Encore Free Spins bonus round, which sees the player rewarded with 10 free spins. One of the members of the band will make an appearance in the form of an overlay stacked wild on reel two, three or four with each of the free spins. Whichever band member it is also becomes wild on all the other reels for the spin. Great fun, but sadly the free spins cannot be retriggered during the bonus round.

Last but not least, the Crowd-Pleaser Bonus feature is a little more complex but also promises the chance of winning big. It’s a classic pick-me feature with three levels, with cash prizes and free spins to play for. Level 1 gives you three picks, followed by another three if you make it to Level 2. The second level is where you’re most likely to win a set of 10 free spins. If you manage to win 15X your stake in the first two levels, you’ll get through to Level 3. In this case, you’ll have the opportunity to double your win.

So back to the initial question – is Guns N’ Roses worth checking out?

Well, if you happen to be a fan of the band and are also into this kind of gaming, this is probably no less than a dream come true for you. They’ve managed to make a brilliant slot based on Guns N’ Roses which isn’t too cheesy, cliché or in any way corny. It’s seriously entertaining, features just about the best music of any slot and has plenty of special features too.

But even if you’re not into the band or even this kind of music, there’s every chance you’ll have a great time with Guns N’ Roses. They’ve packed so many awesome special features and bonuses into it that it’s unlikely you’ll ever run out of enjoyment with this slot. It covers all preferences in terms of budgets and offers the prospect of huge payouts, alongside wall-to-wall entertainment.

On the whole there, highly recommended!
