Not by committing any crimes of course, but instead simply striking it lucky with their slots of choice. There’s a ton of crime-themed slots up and running right now, but in terms of those that deliver the total package…well, as you’d probably expect there aren’t quite as many to speak of!

Two of the better examples we’ll be looking at today – those being Cops ‘n’ Robbers Millionaires Row and Cop the Lot. Plenty of features, epic entertainment and in the case of one of them, some of the biggest prizes paid out in the recent history of online slots!

Tempted? We thought you might be – read on for more!

Cops ‘n’ Robbers Millionaires Row

First up, this particular crime caper was cooked up by the folks at Novomatic and takes the usual five-reel, 20-payline form. Spins cost from 60p to £40 each, Cops ‘n’ Robbers Millionaires Row is compatible with pretty much every device going and there are plenty of bonus features to keep things interesting – not to mention an enticing jackpot to play for!

Just like its predecessor – which simply went by the name of Cops ‘n’ Robbers – everything has been kept nice and light-hearted. The visuals are cartoony, the soundtrack is catchy and the whole thing has a bit of a slapstick vibe you can’t help but enjoy. There’s a cop, a safe, sticks of dynamite and so on populating the reels, along with a pile of gold that will net you a payout worth 25X your bet if you line up five in a row. There’s also a wild that takes the guise of a bulldog, which can take the place of all symbols in the game with the exception of the bonus symbol and is also worth a 25X payout if you land five in a row.

There are four standard bonus features that can hit at any time during normal play. First is the Rewind features, which nudges one or more reels to create a winning combination. Fast-forward does the same, though nudges the reels in the opposite direction. Bonus Wilds results in extra wilds being added to the reels, while the Reel Morph feature transforms as many symbols as necessary to create a winning combination.

If you land the bonus symbol on reel one, three and five, you’ll make your way into the Street Bonus feature. The action then moves over to a new board-game style round, where you get to roll a dice, move along the course and collect free spins. Prior to entering the free spins round itself, you can pick up locked wilds, domino wilds which turn adjacent symbols wild, exploding wilds and expanding wilds that can fill whole reels. The more you pick up, the more you’re likely to win in the free spins feature.

And if all this wasn’t enough, there’s also the chance to take home a massive progressive jackpot if you’re lucky enough to line up five gold keys in a row during the Street Bonus feature!

There’s quite a lot going on with Cops ‘n’ Robbers Millionaires Row and it does feel a little chaotic at times. That said, just as soon as you get used to the way it all works, it’s an incredibly enjoyable medium-variance slot that’s a solid follow-up to the original.

Cop the Lot

Next up, we have Blueprint Gaming to thank for unleashing Cop the Lot on the world, which a select few gamers to date have managed to change their lives with. And of course, without ever having to break a single law…unlike the game’s protagonists! Spin from 20p up to a maximum of £300, keep your eye out for a trio of bonus features and if you’re really lucky, there’s a progressive jackpot in there that could just be the dream ticket you’ve been looking for!

There’s the Usual Suspects bonus feature, which can be accessed by landing three or more of the corresponding symbols in any positions. You’ll be presented with three suspects and get to take your pick, with prizes on offer up to a maximum of 500X your bet. Also there’s the Cops and Robber Bonus feature, which is accessed upon landing the Police Man symbol three-strong or more in any positions. This is more of a classic board game round, where you’ll attempt to outrun the cops and pick up multipliers along the way.

And then of course, there’s the classic Free Spins bonus round, which you’ll need to land three safe symbols on the middle three reels to access. It’s a pretty random affair where you choose one of the three safes up for grabs which will grant you any number of free spins. You can then choose to gamble these for more if you like, with a maximum of 50 on offer. More wilds make their way into play during the free spins round to increase the likelihood of taking home a prize.

Last but not least, there’s that progressive jackpot – aka the Gold Jackpot – to play for, which can be accessed in three different ways, one for each of the bonus rounds. At least three people to date have taken home jackpots in excess of £100,000 from Cop the Lot, demonstrating that while it doesn’t happen often, it certainly does happen.

With a trio of special features, an enjoyable base game and such generous prizes to pay for, there’s a lot to like about Cop the Lot and it definitely gets our recommendation. You can’t expect those huge prizes on a regular basis, but sooner or later your perseverance might just pay off…you never know!
